Our client is one of the largest manufacturing organizations in their field with manufacturing plants, offices, clients, and vendors scattered across the globe. They are looking for a Sr. Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical support and administration to the organization’s end users and network. This role will consist of mostly support and maintenance paired with some network administration and special projects.
You will be responsible for incident ticket requests, infrastructure and application upgrades, appropriate documentation, and adhering to all IM standards. A successful candidate will be client facing with the ability to work within a small team with little direction. This is a long term engagement with opportunity for advancement
Required proficiencies:
Experience supporting end users directly, over the phone, & through email
Daily hands-on experience with network/systems troubleshooting and support
Experience installing and maintaining HP printers and other hardware
Experience with Windows 10 upgrades and maintenance
Networking Deployment and Support: IP routing, monitoring, wireless, hardware load balancing, high availability technologies and change control procedure
Ability to work on a small team in fast-paced environment with high visibility
Knowledge of Microsoft Products (Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory, etc.)
Configuration and support of Office 365
Defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
Potential travel up to 10%
Bonus points for:
Bachelors Degree in related field
Cisco Certifications
Prior experience with Aruba
