Janitor/Maintenance

Senior Housing Community in Hallowell, Maine is seeking to fill a permanent, full-time Janitor/Maintenance person position. The ideal candidate will have experience in property maintenance and/or general building operations and possess the following qualities:

- A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to solve problems.

- A commitment to exceptional customer service, ability to comfortably and productively interact with residents, vendors and management.

- All around general property maintenance skills (basic plumbing, minor carpentry, minor painting, custodial/cleaning and walkway snow removal).

-Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent reporting to management and proactively perform regular property assessments.

- Ability to supervise and coordinate with vendors and contractors.

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and exceptions while maintaining core job responsibilities.

- Ability to respond and/or coordinate on a 24/7 basis every other week to emergency situations involving critical system failures, lockouts, clogged toilets, water leaks and fire.

- Basic computer knowledge.
