Key Job Responsibilities:Director, Human Resources is responsible for the execution of HR strategy as well as the coordination and oversight of the daily HR operations, services and initiatives for Marina Del Rey Hospital (MDR) by applying HR principles around business planning, company culture, training and development, talent acquisition, performance management, employee/labor relations and compliance. The Director supports the growth and transformation of the business by taking the lead in developing, implementing and managing competitive HR programs and initiatives across the MDR Hospital.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as strategic business partner for MDRH executive team and leads and leverages HR processes to drive key HR initiatives across hospital. Collaborates with various business leaders on growth strategies and cost initiatives; provide HR guidance and input on decisions and execute in order to enable business strategies.Interprets HR policies, practices and hospital philosophy and ensures effective implementation and administration. Maintains current knowledge of applicable federal and local legislation and regulations pertinent to employee populations, ensuring compliance across hospital.Leads the evaluation and analysis of programs/processes, assess priority and feasibility, develops and presents recommendations to VP, HR and hospital executive team. Oversees the implementation and development of new programs and initiatives. Manages the ongoing execution of HR programs. Ensures high quality of service and satisfaction across hospital.Partners with Cedar Sinai Center of Expertise (COE) departments to provide adequate support to MDRH on benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, organization development, risk management and HR compliance.Coaches and mentors team members through the process of understanding the needs and responsibilities of human resources within the organizationResponsible for developing and maintaining HR department budget and expenses along with supervising the development and maintenance of actionable, proactive metrics that drive forecasting capabilities and strategic insights;Recognize potential employee relations issues in a proactive manner. Manage and resolve complex and sensitive cases through objective and thorough fact finding investigations, mediation of difficult interactions, political navigation and escalation of problems to a higher level when warranted.Drive change management efforts across MDRH, ensuring employee and stakeholder impact are at the forefront of organizational decisions, and that organization changes are planned and thoughtfully implemented with strong process and integrity.Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders of diverse backgrounds, building reputation as a credible and trustworthy leader in order to successfully influence, facilitate change initiatives and drive buy-in at all levels and in all areas of the organization.Oversees the administration and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements, including execution of the terms and managing grievances as prescribed under the contract. Ensures compliance with National Labor Relations Act.Represents the hospital at arbitrations, negotiations, NLRB and other formal proceedings related to the collective bargaining agreements.Responsible for the education of leadership in managing a unionized workforce.Education:

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Human Resources or related fields

Master's degree preferred

Experience:

10 years experience in Human Resources or related fields

5 years experience managing a Human Resources division
