Job DescriptionTemp to Hire Test Technician in NW Houston for a Preferred Employer paying $20 hourly 8 am to 5pmSteel toed shoes and safety glasses will be needed to work this job.Overview:An electronic tester tests the wiring, circuits, and hardware of electrical products and systems. Job duties include testing, troubleshooting and replacement of defective components, inspection of previously assembled units, documentation of test results, and assembly of controllersMajor Responsibilities:

Testing Gas Chromatographs and Flame Ionization Detectors based on existing documentation and assemble controllers for legacy model Gas Chromatographs.

Minimum Job Requirements:Education:

2-year Technical Degree in a background of Electronics or equivalent

Experience:

Minimum of seven (3) years’ experience with testing/repair of electrical/electronic equipment

Basic computer skills required

1. Ideal candidate will be testing Gas Chromatographs Based on existing documentation.1. This testing of the GC will include but not be limited to the following:1. Digital Inputs/Digital Outputs2. Analog Inputs/Analog Outputs3. Communication via serial RS-232/RS-4854. Communication via Ethernet5. Functionality of Foundation Field Bus6. GC hardware that includes the testing of the following1. Valve actuation2. TCD integrity3. Signal input from ancillary detectors including FID and FPD4. Heater Functionality and control2. Hi-Pot Testing3. General Leak Check of each GC1. The candidate will also be required to assemble controllers for legacy model GCs1. Controllers will be assembled following existing documentation2. The same Controllers will be tested for all IO as described above regarding the testing of each GG3. The controllers will also be tested on a Test fixture analyzing a calibration mixture of gas to ensure the controller is working properly.4. Controllers will also be submitted from Client Companies for repair and the candidate will be required to troubleshoot the controllers and provide solutions to bring the controller back to original working condition.1.
