Packer / Production Worker -Shipping Department - 1st shift $17.00 hourly

Job DescriptionJob Summary: Production workers / Material Handlerare responsible for confirming the correct parts/quantities to be packed per customer order in proper packaging. Other duties include; Printing and affixing item labels to boxes/skids, prepare shipping documents, stretch wrapping skids, as well as utilizing a forklift to transfer material to the dock or load freight carriers. May perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.RequirementsJob Duties and Responsibilities: - Packages the right parts and quantities, retrieves all required documentation such as Mill Test Reports, Certificate of Compliance, print labels, and anything else the customer may request - Knowledge of truck schedules in order to prioritize packing product for the next respective truck - Retrieve parts/orders from Finished Goods and Manufacturing area for packing and shipment - Generates any item labels, tags and markings on the boxes they pack and making sure they are writing down all weights and dimension clearly on the inspection ticket - Packs materials to prevent damage during normal handling and transit - May assemble bolts and nuts if needed - Stages material and files customer documents in corresponding trays or in will call drawers for shipments - Arrangements for delivery service/Hot Shot carrier - May load materials on to freight carrier vehicles - Keeps their packaging station and area around clean and free of any trash or clutter - Must have clear understanding and practice all safety rules and regulations - Must have clear understanding of quality system programsJob Specifications: Skills - Ability to read/communicate instructions as needed Education - No educational requirements.
