Journeyman Control Technician

Primary Function:iInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/industrial air conditioningicontrols systems to ensure they are working efficiently, properly and affordably.iiKey Responsibilities:iResponsibilities include, but not limited to:iKey Responsibilities:Understand customer expectations and Brandt's scope of service.Install, wire, remove, maintain and repair HVAC Building Automation Systems and related equipment.Follow preventative maintenance schedules and perform routine system maintenance. Review system summaries and reports, test operations, adjust controls and make minor repairs as needed.iTroubleshoot for electrical and programming/configuration problems. Make repairs as needed.Document and track preventive maintenance accordingly.Maintain efficient environmental conditions. Adjust system controls to recommended settings.i Test system performance using special tools and test equipment.Provide Functional Performance Testing for validation of sequences of operations.Test systems for validity of readings.Provide calibration services for field devices.Evaluate customer needs and make recommendations for correction and/or improvement.Respond directly to customer questions, explain services provided, and provide Dispatch with detailed summary of related costs for billing purposes.Complete all required paperwork in a timely and professional manner.Assist Service Sales with customer scope development, technical analysis/support for retrofits, upgrades and/or enhancements to existing equipment.Mentor/train assisting mechanics and technicians.Perform all work within the confines of Brandt's safety rules and regulations.Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.
