LEAD CUSTODIAL MANAGER

Selrico Services, Inc. is currently seeking a Lead Custodial Manager to oversee and execute the contracted cleaning and maintenance of Municipal City facilities by ensuring high service levels and performance. The ideal candidate(s) will have prior experience in janitorial/custodial service in order to perform the responsibilities and qualifications.

The Lead Custodial Manager will aid with the upkeep of the facilities by carrying out all cleaning functions as needed and managing staff. The main goal is to keep the facilities in a clean and orderly condition per contract obligations, and to contribute to a positive experience for patrons. The following essential functions include, but are not limited to:

Recruit competent personnel using effective methods to keep staffing at acceptable levels, working within budget.

Manage the department work schedule to ensure proper preparation and adequate staffing daily.

Train, coach and manage staff of approximately 20 employees and 3 Supervisorssetting site operational goals for each department, regularly assessing performance, and quickly making effective corrections to performance and conduct, including retraining, employee corrective action and development plans.

Process new hires, scheduling, and payroll paperwork for all personnel.

Review and submit timecards to payroll by weekly deadline.

Manage the daily activities of each department to include appropriate cleaning and maintenance of all public areas, restrooms, offices, etc.

Measure department effectiveness through quality inspections and adjust as goals change or need improvement.

Purchase and maintain appropriate and adequate supplies and inventory for the properties within budget restraints

Ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment and making arrangements for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment to avoid service disruptions.

Perform and document routine inspection and/or maintenance activities.

Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.

Collaborate and communicate effectively with all staff members, members of management team, and clients.

Follow all health and safety regulations.

Assist facility patrons or customers in a friendly and engaging manner when requested.

Complete additional duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Willingness to participate in the company’s screening process including background check and drug screen

Reliable transportation and good driving record required

Experience overseeing custodial staff

Dedication to excellence in customer service with a proactive approach in anticipating, listening to, understanding, and responding to staff, management, and clients needs.

Possess basic maintenance skills/knowledge and computer proficiency.

Integrity and ability to work independently.

Willingness to work hands-on and where needed, alongside the staff, as needed.

Passion to embrace change with the ability to modify goals and directives quickly.

Capable of multi-tasking and using independent judgment and solid decision-making skills.

Sound knowledge of safety standards for housekeeping and maintenance.

Ability to handle cleaning equipment and machinery.

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.

Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills.

Ability to bend, lift, and move continually during working hours.

Ability to lift items and/or machinery of up to 40+ pounds.
