Architectural Millwork Estimator

Job Description:

Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimate for projects

Perform portions of estimates for multi-discipline projects including scope determinations and accurate quantity survey

Review total estimate to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotation

Help monitor comparison of estimated costs to actual costs

Research and promote continuous improvement in developing more efficient estimating methods

Requirements:

A complete understanding of architectural woodwork/millwork

Experience in performing a thorough review of architectural plans and specifications to determine a complete and accurate scope of work for the project.

Ability to provide accurate take-offs for the project (cabinets,surrounds, wall paneling, running trim, etc.)

A thorough understanding of construction techniques and joints, types of engineered wood panels, high pressure laminate and edge banding, general industry hardware

Outstanding attention to detail

Excellent time management skills; must demonstrate ability to manage several projects at once INDEPENDENTLY to meet internal and external deadlines
