The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for delivering network services to our clients and implementing new technologies within our network environment to improve overall stability, security and throughput for our customers.Day to Day Duties and Responsibilities:? Perform periodic preventive maintenance and implement network security according to departmental policy.? Proactively monitor network infrastructure for problems.? Deliver detailed documentation for work performed and continue improving current process documentation.? Research and test network for compatibility with existing or planned updates.? Participate in network infrastructure design, security, planning and architecture development? Work as a Subject Matter Expert for projects as assigned. Subject Matter Expert responsibilities may include needs assessment, solution development, work with other IS teams, reporting and technical documentation.? Provide fourth-tier support & training for Customer Support and other Network Administrators.What You Bring to the Team:Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience and four (4) to seven (7) years experience as a Network Administrator or Network Engineer working in a Cisco focused environment. CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator) preferred.Expert level knowledge in at least two of the following disciplines: Cisco Router Administration Network Firewall Configuration and Administration (ASA or FirePower) Administration of Wireless Data Communication (Meraki or Aironet) Cisco Voice over IP (VoIP) Cisco Network Access Control (NAC) or Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) Software Defined Wide Area Networking Administration (SD-WAN) Data Loss/Leak Prevention technology Cloud Network Administration SolarWinds Administration VPN AdministrationWhy Farm Credit Bank of Texas:Benefits are an integral part the Farm Credit Bank of Texas total compensation package.
