Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Within Wells Fargo Compliance, the Enterprise Testing team is responsible for the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities across the Enterprise in alignment with the Risk Management Framework, and ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controlsEnterprise Testing has an exciting opportunity on the Wholesale Financial Crimes Testing & Validation Team. This Enterprise Testing Officer will be responsible for ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation and documentation of financial crimes review activities, risks and controls in accordance with corporate requirements. This includes performing routine reviews of the Wholesale Banking financial crimes risk program, procedures, and controls, as well as previously identified compliance issues.Key responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

Responsible for moderate to high risk Wholesale Banking financial crimes review activity engagements and issue validations which includes timely completion of test plans, in-depth work-paper reviews as well as assisting management with drafting engagement reports.

Representing Wholesale Testing & Validation in financial crimes forums and committees to ensure transparency to testing and validation schedule and results, as well as to ensure testing is appropriately scheduled and aligned to key program elements and milestones.

Escalate any potential issues discovered during the completion of review activities to management and solicit emerging risks from the broader team as review activities are performed.

Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

Maintaining an awareness of financial crimes activity across Wholesale and providing subject matter expertise to business projects and initiatives.

Managing relationships and fostering a team orientation with business heads, legal, and all lines of defense (including but not limited to the following groups: (Wholesale Financial Crimes Risk Control (WFCRC), Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM), and Internal Audit (IA)).

Working with Wholesale Banking complex lines of business to execute required BSA/OFAC/FCPA compliance and operational risk testing in accordance with Enterprise Testing policies and procedures.

Completing validation coverage activities to assess the adequacy of corrective actions that address the risk and control issues identified throughout compliance testing examinations.

Exhibiting credible challenge and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, and internal controls while maintaining professional independence throughout the testing engagement.

Reporting findings and providing recommendations to both Wholesale Banking and key Stakeholders.

Providing compliance expertise and potential solutions to identified gaps and associated risks as applicable to the different Wholesale Bankings lines of business and WFCRC.

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 7+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in risk management

A BS/BA degree or higher

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
