PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. Our guiding principles are to start with the customer, move faster, and partner effectively.This role is part of the Data and Insights Hub in Wells Fargo Virtual Channels. The insights hub is focused on developing data driven culture in WFVC by helping our business enable data as a strategic asset. The goal of insights hub is to drive efforts to empower WFVC team members in data access and analysis, while leading adoption of best practices and methodologies related to data.The Analytic Consultant will join a dynamic team to discover, produce and promote meaningful insights throughout the organization. The position can be based in San Francisco or Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will exhibit passion for driving data-driven decision making using iterative and quick prototyping techniques that can be evaluated with end users. He or she will partner with functional leaders across the organization to ensure business needs are being met, prioritize and execute key initiatives while keeping the overall strategy in sight.Responsibilities include:

Lead efforts to assist business team members in connecting to data, BI and analytics services, including helping shape early stage questions

Roll up sleeves to integrate and explore data sources to discover actionable insights

Develop user interfaces and experiences that support wide adoption of analytics solutions, including designing dashboard

Embed in day-to-day agile teams to make insights available across organization

Champion for customer centric data driven decision making

Location: The position can be based in San Francisco or Charlotte, NC. This role does not offer relocation assistance.

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

Desired Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Knowledge and understanding of data visualization -

Knowledge and understanding of reporting environments and data structures

Ability to form a story through data analysis

Knowledge and understanding of Teradata

Knowledge and understanding of Hadoop

Ability to prepare presentations, management reporting, and statistical analysis

Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives

Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
