Landmark Realty LLC is now hiring for a Residential Cleaner/ Housekeeper for its apartment community in Topeka, KS. The Housekeeper is generally responsible for the cleanliness of the interior of the apartment community including clubhouse, leasing office, model apartments, laundry rooms, fitness center and other common areas. The Housekeeper also assists in preparing vacant apartments for new residents. The Housekeeper demonstrates a high level of customer service at all times and performs all duties in compliance with all federal and state laws pertaining to the apartment industry including Fair Housing.

This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and has no subordinates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Delivers and promotes excellent customer service and supports the resident retention and service goals of the community at all times.

Reports to work on time in proper attire.

Based on the schedule established by the Maintenance Supervisor, the Housekeeper maintains the cleanliness of the leasing office, clubhouse, restrooms, model apartments, fitness center, laundry rooms and other interior common areas of the community.

The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness of all vacant apartments as they become available for cleaning in accordance with the Cleaning Checklist. Primarily cleans after work completed by the maintenance person, painter, and carpet cleaner. The Housekeeper ensures that all vacant apartments are re-vacuumed and dusted weekly until rented.

Complies with all community safety policies and procedures including utilizing recommended safety equipment (i.e. back belt, safety glasses, rubber gloves, etc.).

Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on all equipment utilized in performance of housekeeping duties. Reports any mechanical problems or equipment defects to supervisor immediately.

The Housekeeper monitors, maintains and secures an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and requests replenishment of those supplies in a timely manner in accordance with community purchasing procedures. He/she ensures that all products are utilized properly.

May respond to routine resident requests for maintenance as directed by the maintenance supervisor. Cleans up work area and restores it to its original condition.

Completes all required forms accurately and in accordance with established community deadlines (i.e. time sheets, turnover cards, service requests, cleaning checklists, etc.).

Follows established procedures for accessing and returning equipment and other materials from the maintenance shop. Maintains, secures, organizes and cleans the maintenance shop as needed.

Participates in all mandatory training programs.
