DescriptionThe Robert Half Healthcare Practice has an excellent full-time opportunity with a growing and dynamic Healthcare Organization!We are excited to work with this expanding firm to help them find an articulate, highly-skilled, and detail-oriented Medical Scheduler in the Indianapolis, Indiana, area! This full-time Medical Scheduler will work a schedule of 8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. Up to 40 hours per week - no weekends required!As the Medical Scheduler, you will be interacting with patients in various capacities. Do you love interacting with patients and multi-tasking in a fast paced environment? Then this position may be for you! The ideal candidate for this Medical Scheduler position would be someone who is friendly, has great phone etiquette, and has the ability to listen and be patient.In the Medical Scheduler position, you will: schedule patient appointments based on information from referring physician offices, patients, or any other referral source, perform liaison functions for add-on and emergency patients, determine if calls are to be transferred to the Triage area, can be added to present day’s schedule, or can wait for next available appointment based on presenting problems, maintain knowledge of individual physician criteria, enter all patient demographic information, maintain knowledge of primary and secondary insurance requirements and process (referral required, run all Medicaid information), send maps and give directions when needed, place medical records in charts, obtain referrals as required by insurance, verify insurance eligibility for office visits, retrieve voicemails from central scheduling general mailbox, answer messages from patient portal and respond accordingly, and perform other duties as assigned by the Scheduling Manager.For immediate consideration please send your most updated resume to Taylor Jones at taylor.jones@roberthalf.comRequirements1-3 years of experience in healthcare scheduling, Familiarity with EMR system, Must demonstrate consistent detail oriented conduct and meticulous attention to detail, Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals; Critical thinking skills and a positive attitude essentialOfficeTeam, a Robert Half company, matches professionals in the administrative field on a temporary and temporary-to-full-time basis.
