Responsibilities:

Operates and maintains hyperbaric chamber and associated systems and equipment as prescribed by a hyperbaric physician and under supervision of program director or clinical coordinator.

Monitors patients in the chamber and records patient condition. Ensures patient comfort and reports any unusual occurrences.

Maintains operating, maintenance and safety logs on hyperbaric equipment.

Keeps patient treatment records and collects data as required.

What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

Required Credential(s):

BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

One or more of the following:

Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Certified Hyperbaric Tech credentialed from the National Board of Diving & Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Nurse Aide credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Paramedic credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

Diploma

High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required

Work Experience:

None required.
