SummaryYou will serve as a Technician in the Electro-Optic Technology Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.ResponsibilitiesYou will responsible for determining time and money constraints and operation costs when equipment and other materials are involved.You will plan approaches to complex problems, exercise considerable judgment in making sound engineering compromises and decisions.You will test methods and processes utilized in the evaluation of Expeditionary Electro Optics systems.You will discuss and resolve difficult problems, assist in determining project direction and/or provide expert advice on new and emerging technologies.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical leadership on engineering projects for electro-optic to ensure system requirements are being met.
