Tree Workers needed (Groundsman, Trimmer, Climber) (Killeen, TX)

Tree service company is looking to hire a full time tree service Groundsman and a Climber. See job requirements below.

GROUNDSMAN Job Requirements:

-Must be in appropriate physical condition to be able to productively work outdoors long hours in hot or cold weather; it is VERY labor intensive work.

-Able to lift/drag 50+ lbs.

-Driver's license (experience driving stick shift/manual medium duty trucks, dump trucks is a PLUS)

Duties:

Prepping vehicles for jobs, loading and unloading tools, gear and supplies

Performing maintenance on vehicles, equipment and chainsaws/blowers and other small engines

Dragging and loading brush/wood/logs to wood chipper or truck/trailer

Raking and cleanup of job sites during and after tree work is completed

Assisting other crew members with any other related duties as requested by Supervisor or Owner

Qualities we seek in candidate:

-Follows directions, requires minimal supervision and is WILLING to continue to learn and shares knowledge with peers.

-Reliable, shows up everyday, on time, willing to work long hours, weekends if needed.

We are also hiring an experienced tree CLIMBER with experience below:

-Bucket Truck Operator (preferred but not required)

-MUST be a highly skilled tree climber with extensive rigging skills, moderate to fast speed with ability to limb walk comfortably

-Must possess tree pruning skills and general tree knowledge (Certified Arborist a plus but not required)

-Experienced working around high and low voltage utility wires

-MUST HAVE valid drivers license (CDL is a plus)

-MUST be highly experienced with chainsaws, wood chippers and equipment maintenance

-MUST Work Safe, Enforce Safety and make on the spot corrections as necessary

-Reliable, Responsible, Respectful, Self Motivated and assist FOREMAN in keeping crew on task and meeting production demands

-Foreman experience or similar supervisory experience is a plus as CLIMBER could transition to FOREMAN if able to lead a crew, plan, brief crew on projects/safety and communicate effectively with company staff and customers
