At Bell, we are proud to work for an iconic company with superb talent, rapidly creating novel and coveted vertical lift experiences.Bell is seeking Environmental Health & Safety Rep to support the Bell Safety program at our location in Fort Worth, TX.Under direct supervision and guidance from the Manager of Global Health and Industrial Safety-Hygiene:Responsibilities:

Prevents potential short-term and long-term safety and health risks by controlling employee exposure to chemical and physical agents. In order to prevent adverse exposures, facilities must ensure that exposures are known, quantified, and controlled.

Assists in providing to employees a place of employment free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees.

Assesses the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Investigates adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, and other conditions which may affect employee health, comfort, or efficiency.

Conducts evaluations of exposure to ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and to noise and recommends measures to ensure maximum employee protection.

Maintains chemical sampling according to OSHA standards.

Prepares reports including observations, analysis of contaminants, and recommendations for control and correction of hazards.

Investigates safety and health complaints and incidents.

Implements processes, procedures and programs that reduce and eliminate work environment hazards and threats.

Provides technical expertise & assistance to Production, Facilities and Equipment Engineering groups in the selection of protective equipment for uses on processes and machinery to eliminate/reduce safety and health hazards.

Provides technical expertise to the business unit regarding day-to-day process operations, process changes and /or relocations, new processes, new products, new technology, new facilities and/or equipment and interaction with contract

personnel.

Coordinates as required for the assigned business unit all activities involving outside regulatory agencies such as OSHA.

Analyzes standards in terms of engineering concepts on which they are based, and apply these standards to meet specific situations.

Provide assistance as required in support of the industrial hygiene function and to the other EH&S Staff members as required to meet the objectives of Bell's EH&S process.

Attends certification training as required, including but not limited to: Fall protection, Machine guarding, Industrial Hygiene, NFPA, Electrical Safety, Lock out tag out, Hazard Identification, Storm water, Wastewater RCRA

QualificationsEducation:

Bachelor’s Degree required (in related field preferred);Master’s degree preferred

Experience:

Experience in Environmental, Health and Safety (2-5 yearspreferred)

Experience Minimum 3 years industrial manufacturingexperience

PreferredCertifications/Training:

Certified Safety Professional

Certified Industrial Hygienist

Fall protection

Machine guarding

Industrial Hygiene

NFPA, Electrical Safety

Lock out tag out

Hazard Identification

Storm water

Wastewater RCRA
