DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:Perform maintenance to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting; boiler making; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: – Other duties may be assigned:

Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.

Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.

Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.

Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, power tools, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.

Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.

Test, install, and service fire sprinkler systems and smoke detectors.

Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers for inventory and immediate repair.

Plan and lay out repair work and preventive maintenance job plans, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.

Perform general cleaning duties of buildings or properties.

Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.

Record type and cost of maintenance or repair

QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance field or related

Powered Access License (not required but preferred)

Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.

Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.

Pneumatic & Hydraulic theory
