Skilled Carpenter (Baroda)

Position: Skilled Carpenter

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: Baroda, MI

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel to job sites

Salary: Will be discussed at interview and is based on experience

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A Skilled Carpenter is responsible for completing assigned carpentry tasks with attention to detail, and a high level of integrity and skill. You must also follow directions well and work within a given timeline.

1. Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision

2. Forward-thinking and able to problem solve

3. Ability to read and understand blueprints

4. Identify what tools and materials are best for a job

5. Understand lumber sizes and species

6. Shows a willingness to further construction skills

7. Ability to manage time and complete tasks by given deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

4+ years of on-site experience

Consistent work ethic and positive attitude

Knowledge of the home building process

Must be on time and have reliable transportation

Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks

Compensation is negotiable and based upon skill and experience level. Serious candidates interested in long term opportunities only as Schmidke Construction is expanding and looking for team members interested in the same. Must have valid driver's license & reliable transportation.
