Job Description

About the Mission You Will Join:Background: SAF/CN is the Air Force (AF) Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). The Resources Division within SAF/CN requires acquisition management and contract support to assist with pre-award and contract administration counsel and activities. The support requires a highly motivated individual join a proactive team to continue outstanding support.Objectives: Provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to support the development of policy, governance, processes, and oversight of AF contract administration requirements and responsibilities. These A&AS services will enable the SAF/CNSR Resources Division to execute its role as the focal point for SAF/CN acquisition management and ensuring that the Air Force is compliant with federal laws, OMB, and DoD and AF Directives.

Your Impact to the Mission:

The individual shall provide support to the Resources Division of SAF/CN and is responsible for administratinga majority ofcontracts that support the SAF/CN organization including:

  • Contract administration assistance
  • Tracking contract award documentation such as modifications and invoices (e.g.tracking remaining funding on contract)
  • Provide advice on oversight of all contract actions for the organization.
  • Support various organizational meetings as required
  • Preparing briefs and drafting acquisition-related documentation
  • Plan and schedule work to achieve mission and customer needs
  • Support of acquisition planning and provide contract guidance
  • Provide assistance in preparation of the following package documents for the contracting office: Solicitation packages, market research, acquisition planning and strategy, COR nomination letters, Justification and Approval for Brand Name, Other than Full and Open Competition or Sole Source awards, Statements of Work, Performance Work Statements, Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Independent Cost Estimates (IGCE), Scope analysis and determinations, DD254s, funding documents, Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPR)s, and milestones for the acquisition process

Qualifications

Experience Needed to Be Successful:

Subject matter expert in:

  • Pre-award contracting experience
  • Post award contractadministration experience
  • Must be able to multi-task, have excellent time management skills, and superb attention to detail.

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • DAU or DFAR Training

Basic Qualifiers:

  • Education Requirement:Bachelor’s degree
  • Can Additional Years of Experience Substitute for Degree? No
  • Required Certification(s): Level III Certification in Contracting
  • Minimum Years of Overall Experience: 10
  • Minimum Years of Specific Experience in Field: 10
  • Minimum Clearance to Start: ActiveSecret
  • Work Status Allowable: US Citizen
