Cost Accountant

DescriptionRobert Half Finance and Accounting has an immediate Cost Accountant opening for a major client in the Greenfield area. In this role, you will have responsibility not only for cost accounting, but also be counted on for your financial analysis and reporting skills. This is deemed an upwardly mobile position with excellent exposure to upper management. Your success in this role would lead to personal and professional growth opportunities. For this exciting opportunity, you will demonstrate a minimum of 3 years’ experience with the below responsibilities: Monthly balance sheet reconciliations Year-end audit file Labor variance analysis Cost analysis Testing process to validate costing system accuracy Inventory reconciliations Forecast and analyze material costs Manage cost updates within the ERP system Track profit of implemented programs Manage and monitor job orders regarding costs, variances, and making sure jobs are closed in a timely manner Work with Sales & Marketing teams to increase profitability Support internal and external audits Assist with budget creationRequirements-Strong Excel skills-Leadership skills-Motivated-Strong understanding of Accounting-Ability to multi-task in fast paced environmentRobert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled finance and accounting professoinals in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
