Potential for Remote Work: YesDescription SAIC is looking for an experienced software engineer to join a team working on a strategic project supporting our client. This software engineer will participate in the analysis, documentation, development, implementation of software system requirements that support the business/mission systems needed by the project's customers. The successful candidate will interact with teammates, internal project leadership, members of other teams, and customers to determine needs and requirements, then work both as a team member and individual to translate these needs into custom software solutions that are peer reviewed, tested, verified, and integrated. Primary duties include:
  • Gather requirements, design, develop and test high-reliability applications, and provide end user support for a number of applications.
  • Build locally React-based applications
  • Interact with other development project team members to build software solutions that fit the scoped requirements
  • Manage software application code using version control and problem tracking software expediently and accurately
  • Work effectively in an Agile software development environment
  • Interact closely with customers
  • Ability to work remotely
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; Information Systems, Software Engineering, or relevant discipline, plus 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • Full stack front end developer with at least 3+ years React.JS, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML Experience
  • 3+ years Java or C#/.Net development experience
  • Familiar with all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (not required to start)
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with delivery of software solutions that execute in cloud environments
  • Experience maintaining legacy applications and working in existing code bases
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
  • Knowledge of Scrum/Agile delivery methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Systems Engineering and ITIL best practices
