This Job is Full Time and can be worked REMOTE anywhere in the U.S. JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs technical planning, high level and detailed requirements definition, test planning and execution (to include use cases, test procedures and test data), business process automation (Pega) software systems integration, and technical support for software systems and subsystems. Total software system product may include discovery, concept design, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee). KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field of intelligent business process automation. Background in computer programming / application developement. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. Work is reviewed by management to measure whether objectives have been met. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives. FREEDOM TO ACT: Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. IMPACT: Contributes to completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources. LIASON: Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Qualifications TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; REQUIRED: Pega Certified Senior System Architect (PCSA) with 5+ years of solid experience developing on the Pega Platform Knowledge of and experience with one or more programming languages Must have experience with: - Implementing user stories according to design and best practice guidelines - Knowledge of software design and implementation - Knowledge of relational database principles and/or experience with database design - Familiarity and/or experience with the Agile Software Development Lifecycle - Unit testing all configurations within the Pega Platform - Fixing defects - Providing direction/mentoring to junior team members - Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance on the job. DESIRED: - Ability to explain complex technical terms and systems to customers and junior team members - Ability to participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement processes/standards - Excellent analytical/reasoning skills - Excellent troubleshooting skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Highly collaborative - Ability to give and receive critical feedback - Solid ability to take ownership/initiative COVID Policy: Prospective and/or new employees are required to adhere with SAIC's vaccination policy.
