We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Computer Systems Analyst - Senior for a Full-Time position. Job Summary: Specifically, the Computer Systems Analyst - Senior will:

  • Perform Windows 2008/2012 Administration Duties
  • Install, configure administer and maintain the Local Area Network (LAN) operating systems, SANs, and physical/virtual, disk and diskless blade and rack servers. In addition to server-based applications software. The virtual environment is VMWare ESXi, vSphere.
  • Manage the file and print servers and manage user access to the LAN and file shares. Administrator will perform all routine operations related to the administration and maintenance of the Atlanta Regional Office and various Field Sites' LANs, operating system, servers, and server-based applications software.
  • Familiarity with Cisco switches and VLAN configurations.
  • Responsible for Tier 2 and Tier 3 Network, PC, and applications issues.
  • Log all workstation and server hardware and software, workstation, laptop and equipment problems and resolutions using the Footprints Service Desk system.
  • Perform and/or schedule all system backups for multiple network servers including the Windows 2008/2012 servers, Linux and Windows platforms, Web services software, and other servers in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Administer and maintain Nimble storage and Storage Area Network (SAN) devices and tape backup systems.
  • Provide customer support for data restoration, respond to user requests for file restorations and file archiving, maintain log sets and provide copies of logs upon request.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of the backup systems.
  • Write and maintain documentation of backup policies, procedures and SOPs.
  • Monitor network status and verify backup procedures to all field sites. Monitor network connectivity to all Field Sites and keep leadership updated and informed on all status and issues.
  • Verify all security patches for servers and PCs using SCCM, IEM and other systems as recommended by vendor(s) and security bulletins on a weekly basis or as directed by management.
  • Update and maintain "Patch Management Process" document.
  • Maintain optimal data center operations with proper installation, cabling and network connections. Maintain accurate inventory and diagrams of equipment and respond to data calls such as quarterly Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative (FDCCI) inventories.
  • Ensure procedures are in place for the storage, retrieval, use and archiving of data assets (data elements, records, files, databases, reports, etc.).
  • Maintains accurate and complete system inventory list(s) of servers and produces necessary reports
  • Responsible for market research, obtaining quotes, and providing procurement assistance of IT equipment for the IRTM office
  • Advise Region 4 IRTM as a principal technical point of contact for coordination and resolution of Windows 2008/2012 system administration issues.
