What you’ll be doing
As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be part of Our Clients Automation team, which is responsible for providing automation tools, infrastructure, and support for all projects and teams across Our Clients organization. We work closely with Hardware, Software, Systems, and Integration & Test teams to develop innovative and modern automation solutions to manage, monitor, and qualify our products. We deliver high quality, high reliability software infrastructure built on industry-leading platforms, technologies, and best practices.
- Work closely with internal customers to gather requirements and develop robust test automation APIs, GUIs, command-line tools, and test scripts.
- Drive the development process of products from requirements gathering through design, implementation, delivery, documentation, and maintenance.
- Contribute to and enhance software engineering best practices and code reviews within the Automation team as well as internal customers of our test automation products.
- Provide documentation and training for our automation products to internal customers.
- Triage test failures to identify and resolve faults in the automation infrastructure and associated hardware and software tooling.
- Assist in the procurement, commissioning and maintenance of lab test equipment and systems
- Work with IT to ensure automation solutions meet rigid security standards
What you will bring to Our Client
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in test automation
- Proficient with scripting languages
- Familiar with RF propagation and protocol fundamentals including 3GPP and WIFI
- Proficient in use and administration of Linux, Windows, and Android operating systems
- Proficient with data parsing and analysis tools: regex, MATLAB, pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, elastic search, kibana
- Experience implementing test suites in test frameworks like ansible, puppet, pytest
- Strong understanding of Docker or equivalent container frameworks
It’s a bonus if you have:
- MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in test automation
- Experience with Python, Shell, PowerShell, ADB shell
