POSITION SUMMARY:

The Controller of Visionary Broadband will lead our accounting team and be an integral part of the organization. This position reports directly to the CFO and oversees a staff of 5-7. The Controller will maintain, manage, and analyze the financial statements and be responsible for their accuracy. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role providing financial reporting to management and auditors. This person will be a strong communicator, a skilled financial analyst, and a coach to our accounting department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and support the accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity

  • Provide financial reports and analysis to management

  • Guide financial decisions

  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls

  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting with appropriate GAAP standards

  • Maintain internal control safeguards

  • Work with the CFO to establish benchmarks and statistics

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • 7+ Years of related experience

  • CPA Preferred

  • Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP)

  • Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis
