Job Description

As part of the leadership team, the Human Resource Manager is responsible for ensuring that the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of human resources plans and programs are realized. The HR Manager will maintain and develop effective internal procedures, handle employee-related issues, lead talent acquisition and retention efforts, and keep performance at peak levels. As a human resources professional, your responsibility is to help shape our company culture so that it aligns with the organization’s values and goals and is sustainable over the long term.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the management of compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations
  • Lead efforts to mitigate impact of Utah minimum wage law and create an effective wage policy
  • Payroll processing backup (currently bi-weekly)
  • Manage talent acquisition process, including sourcing, testing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
  • Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, administer disciplinary actions and conduct exit interviews
  • Develop, analyze and update the company’s evaluation program
  • Develop, revise, and recommend personnel policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions
  • Maintain and revise the company’s handbook
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure appropriate employee development plans, professional development opportunities, and training requirements for roles
  • Perform benefits administration
  • Maintain department records and reports
  • Maintain company directory and other organizational charts
  • Manage GDPR compliance

Qualifications

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor's degree and ive years of human resource experience, or nine years of experience in the HR field
  • Must be a fast learner with strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, organized and the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and good problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft suite and Google platform
  • Ultipro HRIS experience a plus
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage work in a time-sensitive, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Protect and safeguard sensitive information
  • Requires organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills matched by strong project management capabilities
