For more information, please visit www.guidehouse.com. ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Consultant for the ES&I Cross-Segment Team will support client engagements from cultivation to completion. The ES&I Cross-Segment Team serves as the link between ES&I and other segments within Guidehouse. The team facilitates collaboration across other segments to shape, pursue, and deliver synergistic opportunities. Team members help support to enhance Guidehouse offerings via ES&I skills/capabilities and commercial experience. The team identifies and develops opportunities in climate resilience, sustainability, fleet electrification, and/or energy system transformation/transition by collaborating with other Guidehouse segments. The nature of our projects is extremely fluid and requires self-motivated individuals that are willing to develop solutions on their own or as part of a team of highly skilled professionals. Project members are provided the opportunity to interact with our clients' senior management, as well as the opportunity to enhance their technical skills, business development acumen, and client service principles. Key Responsibilities: Support activities and deliverables of the project team, support the day-to-day coordination of maintaining client relationships, and as necessary leading junior-level consultants.

Act as liaison for ES&I to other Guidehouse segments to support client engagements from sales pursuit to close including project delivery as necessary. Support with sales and account leads from other segments to coordinate activities within their accounts for potential ES&I support; assist in building customer intimacy and relationships.

Assist with white papers, RFI/RFQ/RFP responses, and proposals directly and/or coordinate for ES&I support

Expected to assist with client deliverables end-to-end, prioritize and allocate tasks, and work within team environments for multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Work products are expected to be high-quality and client ready.

Directly support and seek feedback from other managing consultants, associate directors, and partners leading the client engagements.

Providing detailed fact finding, research, and analysis within related areas to further support delivery.

Understanding an unstructured client problem, conducting market analysis and peer research, developing a solution framework for how the client can address the problem as part of a wider ecosystem of public, private and institutional stakeholders, and providing the business case for strategic/tactical recommendations

Ability to work with minimal oversight and helping to manage client relations

Mentoring junior-level consultants on assigned tasks

Proficiency in core management consulting responsibilities:

Baseline assessments and secondary research

Stakeholder interviews and organizational change management

Hypothesizing solutions frameworks

Synthesizing multiple inputs into coherent insights across a variety of formats; slide decks, written narrative, playbooks, dashboards and toolkits

Communicating solutions and recommendations to clients through reports and presentations

QualificationsMinimum degree required: Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in Science, Engineering or Business

Minimum years of experience: 5+ year excluding internships, co-ops, and fellowships

Must be able to travel 25%-50% Monday-Thursday but not currently mandatory due to circumstance

Hands-on experience with some or all of the following areas:

Working knowledge of energy/utility practices

Translating business needs into business solutions/methodologies

Experience analyzing large and complex business processes, including a demonstrated thorough aptitude for conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, researching and analyzing client data, and utilizing problem-solving skills and coaching others on doing so

Solid verbal communication and narrative development skills, with the ability to summarize and convey key insights from analyses to senior audiences

Ability to effectively create client-ready PowerPoint presentations and Excel analysis

Due to contractual obligations US citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

Masters of Science (MS) degree or higher in Engineering, Science or Business related disciplines

Prior consulting experience

Any of the following Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Lean Six Sigma, Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), Prosci Change Management Certification)

DoD Veteran

Additional RequirementsThe successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.

The salary range for this position without an Active Security Clearance is $70,700 to $106,000 USD depending on qualifications.
