The Project Managers and Alliance Managers in GPAM are core members of discovery, development, and alliance teams at our company. Project Managers drive these cross-functional teams to deliver projects and products that improve human health and our company's business, and Alliance Managers ensure successful collaborations with our R&D alliance partners.The GPAM Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for pipeline reporting, leading divisional strategic initiatives, and the development, sustainment, and training of GPAM owned systems, tools, and business processes, as well as alignment with Finance, IT, and functional area operations groups within our company. Under the broad guidance of the Director, Project Management Office and Business Operations, Global Project and Alliance Management (GPAM), the core responsibilities for this position include:Key Responsibilities
Develop, Implement and maintain analytics for the GPAM organization
Work independently and objectively to drive significant results through data
Drive efficiencies in GPAM business operations through automation and reporting
Work closely with GPAM project managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs, including identifying critical metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
Work with management and users to gather requirements, provide updates, and build relationships
Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders with an eye for what drives GPAM performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity
Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple primary and secondary data sources
Select the appropriate combination of process and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the reporting needs
Innovate & Explore the art of the possible with data
Establish a strong relationship with our company's operational partners and Information Technology team to ensure the successful delivery of new and enhanced capabilities
Education Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Data Science, Statistics, Math or other analytics-related disciplines
Required Qualifications
2+ years’ experience with data-centric roles
Proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
Strong SQL or Excel skills
Strong stakeholder management and change management skills
Self-starter
Demonstrated situational leadership and creative problem solving within organizations and teams
Effective interpersonal skills; able to establish good working relationships and collaborate with networks of employees of all levels; able to foster cooperation in others; creative problem-solver
Good communication skills
Proficient in visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and ability to learn other analytic tools on the job
Proven success in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with database and model design and visualization techniques
Advanced data analytics skills
