Job Description

The Product and Payment Services Risk team at Visa helps create a strong risk management culture and capability by driving risk management awareness, accountability, and maturity within our Business Units in alignment with Visa’s Risk appetite. The team covers Visa’s full suite of Products and Services.

The Analyst, Product and Payment Services Risk will help driving continuous improvement with the New Business Initiative Assessment (NBIA) program, Visa’s new product risk assessment, and building risk reporting across Visa’s Product and Services.

Principle Scope, Responsibilities and Key Results Areas:

  • Reviewing the current NBIA program and assessing opportunities for improvement and driving change related to ongoing risks and control management, executive SLA reporting and stakeholder management, procedures and risk reporting, and tool management and strategy.
  • Working with product areas to understand the product roadmap and pipeline to identity initiatives that should be channeled through the New Business Initiative Assessment (NBIA) process.
  • Help developing, implementing, and moving to BAU a new process for post implementation review across full suite of Products and Services inclusive of associated tool implications.
  • Participate in meetings with key executives from Privacy, Legal, Cyber, Compliance, and Regions to drive faster SLA’s and proactively identify NBIAs for escalation. Develop and implement an escalation process.
  • Working closely with Visa Risk Centers of Excellence (CoE) to actively monitor risks identified through these programs and include in Product Risk Portfolio Reporting e.g. Technology Risk, Third Party Risk, Substantive Compliance Area Monitoring and Testing, Data Privacy Oversight, Model Risk, Risk and Control Self-Assessment etc.
  • Working with cross-functional stakeholders to identify key data elements and include in Product Risk Portfolio Reporting.

Flex Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)Preferred Qualifications: 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Economics or Business Field) or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) An understanding of the payments industry and/or financial services, payment products and services, and of wider economic / competitive landscape Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication, and facilitation skills, plus ability to work independently and effectively in a continually changing environment Proven ability to develop strong relationships and work with all organizational levels Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint Experience in identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting risks Track record in synthesizing complex information to produce impactful management information and support informed executive decision making Experience in Tableau, Power BI, or similar data analysis toolThis position is open to locations in Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Miami, FL, Atlanta, GA, San Francisco, CA and Foster City, CA.
