JOB SUMMARY:

Provide loan servicing on existing loan accounts according to procedures. Extend credit to new and existing customers through the various loan departments, with a focus on the mortgage department. Expand lending relationships resulting in extension of credit to new and existing customers. Provide assistance to loan officers in gathering and evaluating credit information on current and prospective customers preparing written reports of analysis, and preparing LPM’s for presentation. Develop and maintain expertise in SBA, USDA, and FSA guaranteed loan programs for Company-wide usage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

a. Assists in interviewing applicants and may request specified loan information from loan applicants

b. Meet with loan customers to determine acceptable risk within bank policy and recommend loans to higher authority.

c. Attends and assists in the needs of present and potential customers seeking loans and maintaining relationships with customers. Analyzes credit worthiness of applicants by reviewing loan applications and credit and financial information, including preparing or obtaining financial statements, cash flows, tax returns, credit bureau reports, banks reports, and other company report and collateral analysis

d. Assists in evaluating credit quality and suggesting loan to be up or down graded and completing quarterly problem loan reports

e. Serves as the SBA, USDA, and FSA guaranteed loan programs expert for the Company.

f. Service loans in a manner that satisfies quality standards and qualifications established by management.

g. Call on potential or existing customers with other lenders and conduct inspections as requested.

h. Research and resolve problems and respond to customers’ inquiries on accounts.

i. Cross sell other bank services and refer customers to other departments / subsidiaries as appropriate.

j. Provide opportunities for relationship building by involving oneself in civic and community organizations.

k. Assist seasonally with Credit Analysis for Credit Administration Department.

2. COMPLIANCE:

a. Maintain audit, security, compliance and regulatory standards.

b. Keep informed of changes in general, banking services, procedures, and in the economy as well.

3. MISCELLANEOUS OTHER DUTIES:

a. Assist with company functions when possible.

b. Fill in for other departments and/or companies when high volume creates a need if it works within the department/company schedule.

c. Work Saturdays and some holidays on a rotation basis.

d. Assume other duties and responsibilities as requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school education and two years financial industry work experience preferred. Previous lending support experience helpful.

2. Math proficiency and aptitude.

3. General areas of competency: decision making, dependability, evaluation skills, interpersonal skills, prioritizing, problem solving, and time management.

4. Professional appearance.

5. Demonstrated interpersonal skills.

6. Effective oral and written communication skills (including telephone).

7. Self-sufficient/self starting

8. Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.

9. Must possess skills to maintain harmonious working relationships with supervisors, and co-workers

Physical Requirements:

Light Work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Reaching, fingering, grasping, repetitive motions, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, climbing, kneeling, talking, hearing, pulling, pushing, thinking, concentrating and interacting with others.

Machines Used:

Computer, scanner, fax, copier, telephone, 10-key adding machine and phone system.

In-House Training Requirements:

Continue on-going training for department operations, policies and procedures.

Normal working days are Monday through Friday40 hour work week. However, work on some Saturdays, Sunday or holidays may be required by your supervisor.
