The Manager Trainee program at Dierbergs is one of the best places to start in the St. Louis metro area.In this fast-paced role, you will rotate through various departments to learn our culture and develop your leadership skills. You'll work in the grocery and learn the front of the store, taking on a variety of hands-on

responsibilities that include:
  • Serving as the manager in an assigned area
  • Supervising and coaching Associates
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service and resolving issues
  • Maintaining Dierbergs' standards and store conditions
  • Assisting with payroll management, Associate scheduling and inventory

What you need to succeed
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory position in a retail, grocery, food service or hospitality environment
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and conflict-management skills
  • Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to motivate others and foster a positive team environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts/hours, including weekends

Physical Requirements
  • Lifting & Carrying - Up to 50 lbs occasionally & up to 20 lbs frequently
  • Pushing & Pulling- Up to 90 lbs of force occasionally
  • Occasional - Sit & climb
  • Frequent - Stand, walk, head turn, trunk bend, kneel, stoop, squat, handling, side reach, overhead reach, & power grip
  • Constant - Handling, forward reach, grasp, pinch, finger manipulation, & feel
