Job Description

Reporting directly to the Administrator,this detail oriented employee promotes the delivery of the best possible quality patient care to each individualpatient, through coordinating all referrals andproper scheduling offield staff. She/He will ensure that scheduled patient treatments are kept and required documentation completed/ submitted on time. The position coordinates and collaborates with the office staff, marketers andclinicians to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient’s medical records. Employee must be available to work during standard business hours, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday.

Position Functions

  • Receives all referrals and checks for compliance and coordinates with other departments to ensure compliant and speedy admission.
  • Create and distribute clinician schedules within deadlines
  • Responds promptly and quickly to arrange for staff coverage in the event where scheduled clinician is unable meet patient’s appointment.
  • Receive, distribute and schedule new referrals
  • Make sure all schedule changes are made and all staff (office and field) are notified of staff changes
  • Communicate to field staff and the Intake Coordinator all hospitalizations or changes to patient schedule
  • Answering phones including screening and directing to appropriate staff

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Experience as a home health scheduler is preferred
  • Customer service experience a plus
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant software applications
  • Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Compassionate and caring attitude and the ability to deal with people from a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and temperament
  • Ability to use discretion concerning sensitive information and adhere to HIPAA
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Self Starter and ability to work as part of a team
  • Detail oriented and proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Salary range-19-21 per hour
