DescriptionThe Team Leader for PowerWorks (PWI) assists the Supervisor with the planning and overseeing of all work performed, while maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness and efficiency. He or she ensures that all team members consistently meet and exceed contract goals by monitoring daily work activities and the general operations of the assigned facility. The PWI Team Leader’s focus is aimed towards guaranteeing the standards for quality of services are met by regularly conducting quality assurance and inspection checks per the specifications of the given contract. All leadership duties performed by the Team Leader are executed in conjunction with the custodial team’s standard cleaning and maintenance duties of the designated location per the given contract. The tasks may include, but are not limited to, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, offices and break rooms; vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping; and equipment cleaning. The Team Leader simultaneously performs and monitors all duties assigned.Essential Job Duties· Ensure quality control practices are in place and consistently followed· Ensure all safety rules are complied with and that all appropriate safety equipment is utilized· Promotes general safety awareness among team members and ensures that harmful working conditions are avoided· Ensure all team members adhere to organization and contract policies and procedures· Monitors and maintains inventory supply levels and informs the Supervisor when new supplies are needed· Promote high levels of customer satisfaction by providing a high quality-level of service· Transports the team members to various site locations through the operation of an organization-issued vehicle · Operates in assistance of the Supervisor; responsible for notifying the Supervisor in the event of an accident, comment, concern, etc. RequirementsKnowledge, Abilities and Skill Requirements· Ability to set and maintain quality work standards· Ability to multi-task, make simple decisions and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision· Ability to comprehend, retain and follow instructions· Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships and an atmosphere of open communication with clients, visitors and internal team members · Must possess a valid driver’s license, an excellent driving record and be insurable on the organization fleet insurance policy· Must be able to pass a military installation background check and drug screen· Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. and be able to stand and walk for long periods of timeEducation and Experience· High School diploma or equivalent (required)· Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience in the field of facility custodial (required) – prior work in the areas of food service or general cleaning of public and commercial buildings (preferred)Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
