This absolute powerhouse within the agriculture industry provides innovative crop protection solutions - including biologicals, crop nutrition, digital and precision agriculture. These solutions enable growers, crop advisers and turf and pest management professionals to address their toughest challenges economically while protecting the environment. The company's R&D department, based in Newark, DE, is now looking to amp up their data platform, ensure they are the most analytically advanced company within the Ag Tech Space. In order to do this, they are adding a well tenured Data Scientist to the team, who will work with stakeholders to find solutions to data challenges. This will require the ability to translate the problems stated in R&D terms into quantitative approaches that may be implemented across one or more competencies. You will be responsible for leading and participating in discussions to make the right scientific or technical trade-offs to meet long-term strategic and short-term business needs. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience working with several data science methodologies, as well as domain knowledge within R&D, chemistry, biology, etc.

This position will require on site work 3 days a week in Newark, DE, so applicants must be local, willing to come onsite, and be able to provide proof of vaccination. Required Skills & Experience
  • Advanced SQL
  • Strong experience working with R and various packages within it
  • Python
  • Visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc
  • Forecast and predictive modeling
  • Experience working with one or more major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience with Computer Vision/Image Processing
  • Strong communication and proactive attitude
  • Scientific domain knowledge
