JOB SUMMARY

Seeking an Associate TV Producer with a broadcast journalism background to provide television production services on Fort Benning, GA and its satellite locations in and around the Chattahoochee Valley area. Roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, broadcast field producing, field and studio production assistant, script writing, news package and promo video editing, voiceover, news reporting, camera operation, sound technician, engineer, graphics editor, live studio TV production, transcription and logging, dubbing and distribution, marketing products on electronic platforms, organizing and archiving video libraries.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least three (3) years of professional video production experience in the television news industry.

At least two (2) years of experience in computerized video editing and post-production software systems, including a thorough working knowledge of Adobe Premiere.

At least two (2) years of experience in television news and the ability to write clear, concise, accurate broadcast copy using proper grammar, vocabulary and spelling within deadline.

Applicants MUST submit a portfolio link with recent video news packages that feature their writing, voiceover, production, and post-production skillset.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Associate TV Producer must be able to work in various environments to include wooded areas and uneven terrain. Strenuous physical activity is occasionally involved in covering Fort Benning events; to include the following motions: climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, etc. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

EDUCATION: A relevant college degree may be substituted in lieu of experience.

PLUS: Military journalism and communications experience; Defense Information School (DINFOS).

OTHER: The Associate TV Producer must be able to work in the U.S., undergo background clearance, have a valid driver’s license, and own a working vehicle; as you are expected to travel to assignments in your personal vehicle.
