Prepares materials for laboratory classes and readies equipment for classes based on course outlines, memos, and faculty-identified specifications.

Assists the instructor and students with the operation of scientific equipment or simulators as needed.

May demonstrate the safe and proper use of scientific laboratory equipment.

May work with faculty to make appropriate modifications to equipment/software depending on instructional needs.

Maintain supplies and equipment as needed for the lab.

Cleans and sterilizes laboratory glassware.

Prepares various solutions, diets for lab animal, or chemicals for laboratory lessons.

May provide work direction and guidance to personnel within department.

May lead projects and activities.

Performs other duties as assigned.
