Registered Dental Hygienist (Jacksonville)

Our office is in looking for an amazing Registered Dental Hygenist to join our team. We are located in Jacksonville and our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8am - 5pm. Start date would be

May 26th. Applicant must be current on all licensing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

- Provide superior patient care and customer service

-Educate patients on oral hygiene/health/disease as well as procedures and services offered while establishing a continued care relationship.

-Screen and assess oral health conditions for all new patients and recall patients

-Verify patient health history and COVID screening (review basic health status, medications and understand the impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in the patients chart

-Thoroughly and efficiently perform clinical hygiene functions including but not limited to exposing/evaluating diagnostic radiographs, taking and recording blood pressure, adult/child prophylaxis, non-surgical periodontal therapy and co-assessing possible restorative treatments with the doctor. Complete periodontal charting per guidelines

-Accurately enter hygiene and doctor treatment plans (DENTRIX Software)

-Complete thorough notes for hygiene procedures daily for services performed

-Place sealants/perform coronal polishing

- Use intraoral camera (DigiDoc Iris)

- Able to take quality radiographic images for Doctor to review.

- Comprehensive screen for oral cancer

-Offer fluoride treatment to all patients

-Non-surgical periodontal therapy (scaling/root planing)

-Take alginate impressions and fabricate whitening trays or flouride trays if necessary

-Pour and pull models

-Maintain accurate and timely notes in the patients chart

-Clean and prepare operatory per OSHA guidelines prior to patient appointment

-Assist other team members, including front office responsibilities and general office duties
