- Must design hardware electronics for high voltage (115Vac, 230Vac & 460Vac) electronic controllers for electric machines
- Simulate mixed analog and digital electronic circuits
- Must select and assess suitability and reliability of electronic components
- Must maintain product documentation, interact with Application, Software, and other Electronic Engineers to meet customer/system requirements of hardware designs
- Must build/administer prototype electronic circuits and document measurements and results
- Review and approve electrical documentation (schematics, assembly drawings, BOM, PCB layouts, etc.)
- Perform failure analysis of electronic circuits. Issue report on findings as well as recommendations on opportunities for continuous improvement
- Interface with circuit board contract manufacturer
- Will work with an international team on new product development and product analysis with global products
- Must have a Bachelor of science degree in Electrical (power electronic experience specific to motor drives) or Computer Engineering
- Must have manufacturing background
- Must have a 7+ years of electric motor or equivalent process expertise and experience designing 3 phase inverters for electric machines
- Must have experience designing mixed analog, digital & electronic circuits, designing switch mode power supplies (buck and fly-back configurations), designing analog electronic functions (isolated RS-232, RS-485, NFC antennas)
- Ansys and Ansys HFSSS for EMI optimization.
- Must have experience with circuit schematic capture & layout, with circuit simulation software, testing and troubleshooting high voltage electronics up to 400Vdc, advanced simulation tools
- Must have experience working with high voltage, HVAC products/components ideal
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.), customer support and dealing with customer issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must have Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
