Job Description

As a member of the US management team, the

USA Aluminum Division Manager is responsible for overall leadership of Pyrotek USA Aluminum Division including meeting or exceeding expectations of external and internal customers, and sales growth, cost control and improving Division profitability. This position has the additional responsibility for supporting global sales growth to continuous sheet casting customers through the local Pyrotek entity and will require cooperation and collaboration throughout multiple levels of Pyrotek, to include, but not limited to: Corporate, Plant Managers, Regional and Divisional managers.

Passion for providing a high level of customer service and business development activities along with an in-depth understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

Computer/Applications Skills. Proficient Microsoft Office computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Power BI. Hands on working knowledge of Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software platforms.

Analytical Skills. Ability to use information/data and various metrics to develop an informed and factual business case. Strong financial analytical capabilities for developing profitable product strategies. Ability to define problems, collect objective data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Core Business Skills. Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion in handling of proprietary and confidential information. Displays willingness to make decisions and work independently, without significant direction and to use resources effectively to “figure it out”. Travel. Ability to travel domestically 35% and internationally 5% to visit customer facilities, Pyrotek plants, tradeshows and meetings. Ability to maintain motor vehicle driving record in good standing, as defined by Pyrotek’s driving record requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in business, engineering, or other technical discipline plus 10 years of experience in senior leadership/management roles, or equivalent combination of education and life experiences preferably in a technical, process or manufacturing related industry.

US Passport and valid driver’s license required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, plan, control, monitor and the USA Aluminum Division budgets and capital expenditure budgets. Increase revenues, enhance profits and maximize the utilization of company assets.
  2. Successfully direct, develop and execute sales plans and forecasts by customer and by product line. Manage the prioritization, profitable growth and satisfaction of assigned accounts and markets.
  3. Serve as a role model in support of a true focus across the entire Pyrotek organization in fulfilling external strategic customer expectations. Maintain a constant awareness of our reliance on external customers, strategic customer groups and on Pyrotek inter-plant customers.
  4. Regularly visit top strategic customers to support sales efforts, build customer rapport and to gain deep understanding of customer needs to support the training efforts of Sales Managers, Sales Engineers, Product Managers.
  5. Work collaboratively with other Pyrotek managers to maximize sales and operational resources.
  6. Plan, strategize and execute to maximize profitable pricing based on market conditions for manufactured and distributed products. Fulfill global and regional strategic account contractual obligations and commitments. Coordinate with Global and Regional Strategic Account Managers, USA Aluminum Sales Managers and Sales Engineers to align pricing across regional and global strategic accounts.
  7. Develop accurate and actionable financial, business and strategic analysis for General Manager and Corporate purposes. Prepare presentations on business conditions, Division results and challenges.
  8. Responsible for the safe and efficient operations, continuous improvement, maintenance and Capex requests for the on-site Pyrotek / Customer Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) facility. Effectively oversee and manage Pyrotek VMI Agreements, Inventory management material stocking agreements, Customer Satisfaction, maintain awareness of Market and Customer Intelligence.
  9. Supervise, coach, support, train, and develop personnel in assigned area; resolve personnel issues, redirecting complex issues to management and HR in a timely manner; directly manage team members, including assigning and reviewing work, evaluating performance/compensation, resolving grievances, administering disciplinary action, interviewing employment candidates, and effectively recommending hires and terminations in a timely manner.
  10. Ensure effective communication of goals, objectives and expectations throughout assigned department/staff. Maintain the cooperation and support of team members company-wide through effective interdepartmental communication. Serve as a role model in areas such as professionalism, service orientation, agent of positive change, education, and commitment to organizational goals and objectives.
  11. Foster attitudes, conditions and environments that guide your team toward excellence while acting with integrity and ethics aligned with Pyrotek core values. Create a work environment that helps foster tolerance, acceptance and civility and the ability and desire of team members to act in empowered ways. Actively reward/recognize team members to reinforce accomplishments and positive outcomes.
  12. Determine the effectiveness of policies, procedures and projects/plans. Take appropriate corrective measures when necessary. Identify new applications, innovations, quality and/or safety improvements and report findings/results to management. Ensure all activities and operations are performed in compliance with federal/national, state/regional and local regulations.

Must be able to sit for long periods-of-time, bend and reach, use stairs, lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and communicate effectively in English by telephone, in person and in writing. Effectively use a personal computer, office equipment and telephone.

Working EnvironmentWhile performing the essential responsibilities of this position, employee will work in an office environment as well as in industrial environments at Pyrotek plant sites and customer locations. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required in some environments. Global and domestic travel by land and air required.
