Cash Application Specialist

The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for daily cash posting of all cash received. They will work cooperatively with the AR Specialist, AR Manager and Corporate Controller. They will be responsible for reconciling batches to deposit records and maintaining detailed transaction information

Reconciling, posting and applying a high volume of payments received via lockboxes and other means

Managing the application of payments per payment advice

Reconciling cash batches to deposit records

Direct communication with AR Specialist and the AR Manager

Post all ACH payments received

Bank deposits as needed with check scanner

Process credit memos and adjustments

3-5 years accounting experience with cash applications, AR, or accounts reconciliation

Banking experience a plus

Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Outlook email experience

Strong 10 key by touch

Work independently with little direction

Willing to take responsibility as issues that arise and solve problems

Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and priorities

Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate complex concepts into clear and concise content

Work effectively within and across team’s members to get things accomplished
