And that mission makes our team even stronger.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Principal Engineer Systems at its Subsystem and Software Sustainment (S&SS) organization in Warner Robins, GA.This engineering position is for an role on the Systems Engineering Team that supports modeling and simulation, electronic warfare, avionics, and radar sustainment programs.Your responsibilities Include:

Performs technical planning, requirements development, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Considers both business and technical needs of the program and operates as an effective project manager who integrates all necessary disciplines and specialty groups to define and balance system performance, cost, schedule, risk, and system security from concept to production

Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:1. A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related technical degree and a minimum of 5 years of direct relevant experience; or a Master's degree and a minimum of 3 Years of direct relevant experience.2. Experienced with test and development of embedded designs for the DoD3. Demonstrated expertise within Systems Engineering to include but not limited to requirements analysis, requirements allocation, requirements decomposition, requirements development and verification & validation.4. A current DoD Secret Clearance.5. Ability to obtain/maintain access to work at our Warner Robins, GA facility.Preferred Qualifications:1. Experienced in Electronic Warfare principles2. Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Implementation and Integration & Test)3. Familiarity with C/C, Ada, or similar languages4. Familiarity with real-time operating systems5. Familiarity with automated testing techniques and tools6. Familiarity with scripting language such as Python7. Familiarity designing LRUs and/or SRUs8.
