ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Bonneville Academy School Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Bonneville Academy and fulfilling the goals and obligations established by the school Charter and Utah State law in pursuit of creating a positive and nurturing education environment for students. The School Director serves as a leader and role model by setting goals, assessing efficacy, monitoring compliance, mentoring and developing employees, and collaborating with the Board of Directors.

DUTIES: ? Responsible for compliance with and enforcement of all Bonneville Academy Policies and Procedures ? Manage the operations of the school in the areas of safety, productivity and efficiency to the standards of the Charter and Policies and Procedures of Bonneville Academy.

? Responsible for school compliance with laws and state regulations

? Develop work systems and processes that effectively drive efficiency and accountability ? Negotiate new and monitor compliance of outside contractors ? Responsible for compliance with all Special Education laws and regulations ? Responsible for the development and administration of annual budget ? Responsible for strict adherence and monitoring of school budget, accounting of expenditures, compliance pertaining to restricted funds ? Work with Parent Teacher Organization and approve activities and events ? Drive the implementation of STEM practices, instruction, and activities at all levels of school operations, including maintaining STEM designation and STEM credentials for faculty ? Oversee, with Operations Manager, finance and human resource responsibilities ? Keep abreast with change, risk, and resource management principles impacting the school ? Attend Finance Committee meetings ? Attend Marketing Committee meetings, set marketing goals that facilitate continued positive school presence in the community ? Report to Board during monthly Board meetings ? Increase expertise of school employees through the development of high quality professional development, training, and certification opportunities for all staff ? Responsible for the safety and security of students through implementation of training and best practices, audit student discipline procedure and documentation, and strict enforcement of the student Code of Conduct ? Pursuing sources of funding and donations to the school, including application for and management of grant compliance ? Responsible for enrollment, including open enrollment and setting enrollment goals

? Represent Bonneville Academy with fidelity and positivity in interactions with the public, employees, and students.

? Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

? Baccalaureate degree in Education, Public Administration, Business Administration or other relevant area of study

? Master’s Degree preferred ? Five years of management experience, preferably in a comparable setting ? Must be able to pass a background investigation

SKILLS ? Unconditional positive regard for students and their families ? Strong Verbal and written communication skills, grant writing, RFPs, attention to detail, and ability to work well with others ? Knowledge and understanding of Utah State Charter Board laws and regulations ? Experience and knowledge of Special Education laws and regulations ? Understanding of Utah Grants and grant compliance ? Marketing and public relations ? Management and Human Resources ? Demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information in accordance with school regulations. ? Demonstrate the ability to use technical equipment such as word processors, internet based communication, online data management portals, Aspire, Quickbooks, etc.

COMPENSATION

? Salary range of $72,000 - $85,000 depending upon education, experience, and credentials ? Benefit package includes: health, dental, vision, paid time off, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, employee assistance program, 401K, and professional development funds ? Offer of employment is contingent upon a full background check that includes, but is not limited to, criminal background, education verification, drug test, employment history, and personal and professional reference checks
