Our facility is a 10 bed crisis stabilization unit in a beautiful scenic setting, located on 7 acres of land in Conyers, Georgia. We serve adolescents ages 10-14 on the Autism Spectrum, and provide a strong multidisciplinary team approach incorporating Applied Behavior Analysis, mental health clinical services, and medication management. Apply to be a part of our exceptional team today!View Point Health Crisis Stabilization Programs provide short term, 24/7 crisis treatment.The ASD Crisis Stabilization Program (Conyers, GA) provides behavioral crisis intervention andstabilization services to adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder ages 10-14.The nurse is an integral part of our treatment. The nursing staff will interact and offer support toclients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other co-occurring diagnoses. This position servesas liaison between the admitting facility, guardian and our onsite team regarding client referralsand collateral information.Each client will be assessed by a nurse when they arrive on site. The nursing staff is responsiblefor monitoring changes in conditions, shift reports, daily and shift nursing notes, nursingassessments, development of the initial nursing treatment plan, gathering collateral informationas related to ABA therapy, administering medications related to crisis intervention services, andproviding clinical and medical input for the multidisciplinary treatment team. The LPN will alsowork with Direct Care Staff and follow the direction of the Registered Nurse in providingoversight of client care. Our goal is to ensure that all nursing care and medical services areprovided in a manner that sensitive to the needs of the population we are serving.All nursing staff are responsible for medical treatment to include, PPE’s, blood draws, collectingurine samples, MD orders, charting, direct patient care, discharges, assessments, patienteducation, and other documentation, and reporting all pertinent client information. The nursingstaff will use the eight rights of medication administration, as well as two client identifiers anytime medications are administered.The nursing staff will oversee the overall wellness and safety of the clients as well as monitorand manage any stable medical conditions while the client is at the CSU, and report findings tothe provider and treatment team.They will document all vital client information in the electronic health record according tostandards, and assist with orienting new staff to the unit.Provide relief for breaks and assist with Direct Care floor coverage as needed. Attend all trainings, nurses’ meetings, and other staff meetings as assigned.This position may require long periods of sitting and/or standing.
