Job Description

In this position you will be part of Core Infrastructure Engineering team, responsible for the architecture, design and engineering of the Security Services for A Service provider network infrastructure in alignment to the business drivers for revenue generating products and services. This group will engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of Core Network infrastructure.The team will also establish and maintain the security framework and policies of Core Infrastructure. This team will closely align with the Planning, Deployment, IT, Innovation. This position will also assist inmaking things more secure by protecting system boundaries using automation, hardening network devices against attacks and securing highly sensitive data.

  • Strong with interior/exterior routing protocols:

    • Interior
      • IS-IS, OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, RIP, iBGP

    • Exterior
      • EGP, MP-BGP

  • Strong with MPLS, RSVP-TE
  • Strong with Cisco ASR platform
  • Strong with IPSEC VPN,
  • Strong with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, authentication systems, log management and content filtering
  • MPLS VPN security and best practices of securing L2 and L:3 VPN Services in a service provider environment
  • Securing NFV environments, understanding of Amazon and AWS Cloud infrastructure,OpenFlow, segment routing in a service provider environment
  • Strong with LAN protocols
  • Ideally someone who has CCNA Security at a CCNP level.

Qualifications

·Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks

·Identify and define system security requirements

·Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols

·Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices. Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents

·Proactive identification of system dependencies and project scope changes.

·Provide level 3 infrastructure support to the operations team.

·Usage of analytical skills to resolve issues related to source data and/or systems.

·An understanding of best practices and how to implement them at a business-wide level

·Define best practice procedures and dive adoption cross-functionally between the Engineering, IT and Operations teams.

Can you drive these processes?

Participate in meetings and activities to support Network Engineering projects and initiatives.Documentation of designs, architecture and site architecture drawings. Work with other teams to develop end-to-end engineering architectures.

You should definitely have:

·A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline with at least (3) year of experience in a service provider environment (or an equivalent amount of education and work experience).

·Proven work experience as a system security engineer orinformation security engineer

·Advance understanding of network protocol security including IS-IS, OSPF, MP-BGP, MPLS, RSVP-TE etc

·Advance understanding of BGP protocol security policies, authentication and peering policies.

·Understanding of MPLS VPN security and best practices of securing L2 and L:3 VPN Services in a service provider environment.

·Experience with network security and networking technologies, systems and network monitoring tools

·Hands on experience in security systems, including Arbor SP & TMS systems, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.

·Securing NFV environments, understanding of Amazon and AWS Cloud infrastructure,OpenFlow, segment routing in a service provider environment.

It would be nice if you had:

·Network certifications such as CISSP, CCNA (Security) or CCNP, Arbor-TMS training.

·Experience with deploying and troubleshooting Arbor SP & TMS in a service provider environment

·Knowledge of routing protocols security and their deployment in service provider environments using standards methodologies, practices, concepts, and solutions
