Job Description

What will I be doing?

As theEngineering Foremanyou will drive company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Under the direction of the Chief Engineer, you will coordinateand exercisefunctional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering preventive maintenance, projects and repairs within area of assigned responsibility either personally or through subordinate personnel.

  • Directs and leads all aspects of the functionality and safety of the facility, including the physical building(s), mechanical equipment, electrical system(s), heating and cooling system(s), life safety system(s) and grounds in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Conducts facility inspections, assigns, verifies and documents the completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system.
  • Directs, coordinates, and maintains required documentation for the energy management and conservation and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Leads, manages, and communicates assignments with Engineers.
  • Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates team members as required. Provides recommendations on team members’ probationary period review.
  • Maintains inventory of maintenance parts and tools and all other responsibilities as assigned and deemed appropriate by management.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in engineering management or supervisory positions.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical systems, components and devices, HVAC systems, boilers, mechanical systems and their maintenance and repair.
  • Expertise in public construction and building systems; all related permits, licensing, new and existing codes pertaining to public building and fire safety, and full compliance of codes, regulations and safety standards to protect the well-being of all guests and team members.
  • Proficiency in computers and software programs associated with Property Operations.
  • Proficient in the proper and safe use of all tools, equipment, materials, chemicals and products relating to the department.
  • OSHA 30 Certification (acquire within 180 days of hire)
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO)Certification
  • Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • HVAC Certification
  • Excellent ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written
