Looking for a Truck and Trailer Mechanic

Looking for a heavy duty diesel mechanic who has his own truck. Must be a well rounded mechanic and able to work on tractors and trailers. Need someone who is available 24/7. Prefer someone who has a computer but can make it work if you don't. Will pay $50-$60 an hour and will keep you busy. Diesel Mechanics collaborate with dispatch and customer to ensure a vehicle is safely and efficiently operating to the driver’s needs. They often have the following duties and responsibilities:

Consulting with the customer and reading work orders to evaluate the tasks required

Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issues

Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions

Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts

Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts

Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown

Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance

Completing preventative maintenance and other tasks to ensure good operation of vehicle

Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
