Intern - Maintenance

Job Summary Statement:This position will assist with routine maintenance work as needed.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs entry-level and routine maintenance work.

Performing plant maintenance

Assisting with minor equipment repairs and maintenance

Performing some carpentry work

Assists with dismantles defective machines/equipment and installs new or repaired parts.

Layout, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.

Performs all duties safely.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalency.

English language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.

Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Physical Demands: Manufacturing environment. Able to lift up to 60 lbs. stoop and bend. Able to work weekends and night shift.

Work environment: Warehouse is hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months.

Ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

Mechanical and technical skills

Trade school a plus
