less thanp>This position will partner with a CCO Crisis Counseling Worker for the COVID-19 grant. The Counseling Specialist is a behavioral health intern that will assist in identifying, working with, and referring individuals within the community who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19 and are experiencing a higher level of emotions, anxiety, depression or other related symptoms caused by or exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, this individual will complete mental status assessments, provide appropriate levels of support, and make referrals as needed to ensure the stability of the individuals they are working with. This position will be responsible for taking the lead on more difficult cases. Interactions with the community will include phone calls, tele-video, and in person meetings.
