Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), has an immediate need for a Hardware Engineer - Digital Infrastructure (Level 3), in Tukwila, WA. The Multi-Domain Capabilities organization in Phantom Works is seeking unique engineering talent to help us develop, integrate, and demonstrate the next generation of multi-domain capabilities, command and control, communications, datalinks and networking - all in support of our warfighting community. Our team is looking to rapidly expand our baseline capabilities to support new and existing contracts and our expansion of next generation research and development efforts. We have immediate openings, entry level and experienced technical staff, for a wide range of engineering and program management talent and are excited to discuss our opportunities with you.The Hardware Engineer should have knowledge and experience with:

  • Experience with hardware design and development and integration, including packaging.
  • Understanding of and experience with software and hardware integration and check-out processes and techniques.
  • Work across teams (and with customers) to design and develop unique hardware solutions to solve MDC problems.
  • Must have proven ability to work independently or with teams made up of various cross functional areas.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping design and development for hardware solutions.
  • Knowledge of hardware associated with DevSecOps.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.Positions Responsibilities:
  • Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). A final U.S. top secret clearance Pre Start is required.Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or Physics
  • 10+ years of direct experience in design and development of computing and networking environments, emphasis on cloud computing and DevSecOps capabilities and subsystems
  • Experience with design, development and integration of computing, networking, edge network computing, secure computing, secure development and integration environment, and secure networking capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience operating on a team of hardware and software engineers through design and develop of prototype or development type programs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience collecting complex engineering data from multiple sources and the ability to organize and communicate data concisely to the customer and company senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated understanding of edge computing, secure networking and processing environment including anti-tamper cyber security technologies, methodologies, and cryptography.
  • 15% travel required.
  • The personal flexibility and willingness to travel to customer and supplier sites as well as various testing locations during the program.
  • Experience in and understanding of operations in a Consortium environment.
Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience).
